Changing the look of your kitchen can often be pricey and time-consuming. With these locally made stainless steel backsplashes, however, you can transform your kitchen and give it a custom look, without a full kitchen remodel.
Created by local metal artist Graham Schodda, these backsplashes are hand-etched in stainless steel to provide your kitchen a unique, one-of-a-kind focal point. Schodda draws the images in freehand directly on the stainless steel, using an angle grinder and technique that he has honed over 25 years. Popular subjects include salmon, steelhead and trout, as well as heron and eelgrass. All backsplashes are original, and easy to install and maintain. With proper care, says Schodda, backsplashes can last a lifetime.
In addition to backsplashes, Schodda creates stainless steel etched art. He has exhibited in numerous juried art shows in the Pacific Northwest winning multiple awards over the years, including “People’s Choice” Award at Anacortes Art in Bloom, “Best Booth” Award at the Edmonds Art Festival and “Best of Show” at Issaquah Salmon Days.
You can see Schodda’s backsplashes at local art and home shows. As well, you can visit his website https://www.gschodda.com/backsplashes
