Glass and metal artist Sean Goddard blurs the lines between nature and creativity for the home and garden with his stunning insect sculptures.

From his studio on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Goddard creates his captivating art, in a style that is uniquely his.  Made from cut and kiln formed glass, sheet copper, tubing and wire, Goddard’s sculptures capture the intricate beauty of insects in striking, handcrafted designs. Delicate oversized lacewings made with shimmery glass that both reflects and transmutes light.  Huge, overscale beetles in colors ranging from turquoise to red.  Iridescent large dragonflies.  Purple bamboo weevils.

Goddard’s art started as a hobby, when he became interested in glasswork.  Eventually, he set out to create his own genre.  His insect sculptures are the result.   

Goddard’s work can be found at shows throughout the Pacific Northwest, such as the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival and Everett Sorticulture.  He also has his own gallery on Salt Spring Island.
