“Locally grown,” “farm-fresh” and “heirloom” are big among homeowners and renters alike here in the Pacific Northwest. At Stanwood-based Freedom Flowers, that’s exactly what they can find.
Freedom Flowers is founded by Tracy Sundby, a Snohomish County resident who grows and dries heirloom, old fashioned and unique flower varieties on her 2.5 acre property in Stanwood, WA.
A main feature (but not the only one) of Freedom Flowers is its Bouquet Club, where people can sign up to have fresh bouquets made of locally grown, farm fresh flowers delivered to them monthly. Offerings vary, depending on the season but all include flowers grown and gathered directly from their farm.
But it doesn’t end there. For the do-it-yourselfers, Freedom Flowers offers bulk DIY Event Flower Buckets. These are designed specifically for people who have the desire, time and skills to create their own floral designs for their parties and events. The Bulk DIY Event Flower Buckets contain seasonal flowers, all grown locally on Freedom Flowers farm.
For weddings, Freedom Flowers offers “Weddings a la Carte,” designed for those who want a few personal flowers and arrangements but who don’t need on-site setup. Flowers are arranged using the best of what's growing on the farm the week of your wedding in your chosen color palette. In addition to flowers, Freedom Flowers offers a variety of plants for sale, including hard-to-find heirloom chrysanthemums, all specifically grown for the Pacific Northwest climate.
If you’re in Snohomish County, you can visit their seasonal Little Free Seed Library as well as their Flower Stand on Happy Valley Road in Snohomish County to purchase seasonal blooms or swap seeds.
You can find Freedom Flowers locally at select home and garden events, monthly at the Arlington Farmers Market or by visiting their website at https://www.freedomflowers.biz/
