Functional Clay Art to Decorate Your Home from Northwest Artist Erin Pietsch

Art can be both functional as well as beautiful, as Northwest artist Erin Pietsch clearly demonstrates.

Specializing in sculptural ceramic and clay art that is both practical as well as beautiful, Pietsch (pronounced “peach” like the fruit) creates an amazing array of one of a kind pieces for the home.  Nature-inspired wall vases crafted in the shape of tree branches.  Ocean-inspired vases and bowls encrusted with delicate clay barnacles.  Footed clay ribbon teapots.  Water tumblers and coffee mugs in the shape of small tree trunks.

Pietsch's work can be found at juried art shows in the Pacific Northwest, such as the Bellevue Arts Museum Arts Festival and the Edmunds Art Festival, as well as select galleries including the Seattle Waterfront Marketplace in Seattle and the Chuckanut Bay Art Gallery in Bellingham, Wash.  You can also see her work on her website at www.erinpietsch.com.
