Small space gardening has long been an important trend in the Seattle area. With the rise of urban villages and smaller space housing in the region, from row houses to cottages, condos and apartments, Seattle’s small space gardening boom is even in greater demand. Helping homeowners and renters alike with their urban small space gardening needs is Seattle’s Ravenna Garden, which provides a unique local angle to this trend with its focus on bringing the outdoors in.
Located in Seattle’s University Village, this local store offers a variety of plants, trees, containers and more for small space gardening, tailored specifically for the Pacific Northwest. This includes container gardening, houseplants, terrariums and air plants, as well as ornamental garden pieces, with a focus on creatively bringing the outdoors in.
Originally started by Gillian Mathews, a long-time gardener and founder of the popular Made In Washington stores, Ravenna Gardens features plants from local growers, containers, garden tools and books. They also offer scented candles and fragrances.
You can learn more about Ravenna Gardens by visiting their website at https://www.ravennagardens.com/ or visit their retail store at University Village.
